Deadline Three – Filming
Your Storyboard should now be completed and posted as an animatic. The more carefully that you plan each shot, the better your finished product. Also, all planning for the filming should be completed - props, setting, lighting, actors, locations, make up, costume, health and safety etc etc.
Evidence it - Take photos / shoot video (on your phone is fine) of you recording your footage / organising your shoot. Provide a written or recorded justification of the decisions that you make / any mistakes that you have made - evaluate the process as you complete your filming - how did it go and why do you think this - be critical!!!
Make sure that there is clear evidence of your presence on the filming set.
Can you show evidence of preparing costume, lighting, props, make up, giving instructions to your actors, etc.
Record masses of footage - take multiple takes of each shot to give yourself choices when it comes to editing.
By the deadline below: – all “rushes” (unedited, raw footage) to be completed and logged onto the Mac network as a rough cut into the correct file (Locate AS block and group).
All Filming processes, decisions and choices clearly recorded on the group blog. Each of you must contribute to this.
All the time make comparisons with real thriller films to justify your choice of techniques and narrative structure.
Again, use blog format fully and creatively.
